Amazon is changing the retail landscape. In particular, however, it is changing customers’ purchasing behaviour and expectations – and not only in the B2C arena. Product catalogues, service and logistics in B2B online retail must also measure up to the major player from Seattle. By the time Amazon Business (formerly known as Amazon Supply) is rolled out in Germany, each and every e-commerce decision-maker in the B2B field must be starting to question whether the opportunities outweigh the risks; whether Amazon Business is a blessing or a curse. Whatever the answers, this much seems certain: Amazon Business is likely to influence,  change, motivate and challenge the B2B online retail field more significantly than (virtually) any other change arising from the digitalisation of the retail process in recent years.
