Markus Fost, B.A., MBA was born in 1984 and studied business economics at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Science, the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University and the Campus of Finance. Markus supports businesses in the development of strategies, the formation of online business models, the operational implementation of concepts and ideas and the selection of software and service providers. He also advises businesses on dealing with their e-commerce distribution partners. He is the founder and managing director of consulting and venture capital company FOSTEC Commerce Consultants, respectively FOSTEC Ventures GmbH. In addition, Markus is an instructor and visiting lecturer on the subject of e-commerce and the author of a diverse range of specialist books. His publishers include the specialist economic publishing house Springer Gabler. Markus has cooperated with notable industrial and consulting firms over the span of his professional career and has amassed a broad and valuable cross-section of e-commerce experience. In 2009, he was awarded the Vendor Award by Amazon.de

Dr. Dirk Funck has occupied a post as professor of business studies (with a focus on retail management) at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Science since March 2014 and chairs the advisory board of the Rid Foundation for Bavarian Retail Businesses in Munich. After obtaining his doctorate at the university’s Institute for Marketing and Retail, he spent a number of years establishing the research field “Integrated Management Systems in Retail and Service Businesses.” Prior to his activities in Nürtingen, he spent three years as professor for retail management at the University of Applied Sciences in Worms and, before that, an eight-year stint as a senior executive and manager at one of Germany’s leading retail trade associations. Dr. Dirk Funck is a partner at FOSTEC Commerce Consultants and draws on long-standing experience as a consultant, trainer and coach in wholesale and retail, multi-channel commerce and e-commerce.

Christina Pache, B.A., M.A. holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from  the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (focus on human resources management, marketing communication and cross-border competences) and a master’s degree in marketing, sales and media from the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences / Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. Christina has experience in brand management, new media and marketing communication, particularly in the consumer goods and car industries.

Carina Ressel, business economist (DH), completed her studies with a focus on trade and marketing at the Cooperative State University of Baden-Wurttemberg. After graduating she worked in the e-commerce department of a retail group. There she supported the launch of a new fashion brand. As a project manager for a large digital agency Carina Ressel steered ecommerce projects for established manufacturers and brands based on various softwares. As a consultant she is experienced in the development of e-commerce strategies and the selection of suitable systems for manufacturers and trade associations. For a manufacturer she established and operated an e-commerce business model. In addition to her career, she founded a startup. Carina Ressel has eight years of experience in e-commerce.

Stephan Schleuss studied Business & Education at University Tübingen and University Jena. He worked in online marketing, as an e-commerce consultant and founded several startups. Stephan Schleuss has worked for 5 years in e-commerce and advised many merchants and manufacturers in their e-commerce strategy development and shop optimization. His focus is on online strategy, business development, conversion rate / user experience optimization, business cases and support in selection of service providers and shop systems.

Saba Kakavand, B.Eng., M.Sc. studied electrical engineering and information technology at the University of Stuttgart and the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences. After beginning her professional career, she studied part-time for a master’s degree in distributed computing systems engineering at Brunel University in London. Saba is an experienced software developer with extensive knowledge of the e-business sector.

Dominik Drößler, MBA, Diplom-Betriebswirt (equiv. BA in business economics) studied health economics with a focus on hospital management at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. After beginning work, he studied part-time for a Master of Business Administration at the Campus of Finance and earned the title in March 2014. Dominik has several years of experience in the e-business field and wrote his master’s thesis on the use of search engine optimisation (SEO) in the hospital sector. Alongside his work for FOSTEC, he is an honorary auditor at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Stuttgart, Germany.

Ulrich Kaleta is an experienced Senior Consultant in online marketing, working in that area since 15 years. As Director Marketing of a well-known online merchant he set up a sustainable marketing performance, which established the company as one of the top 5 best-performing online shop players in Germany. He developed a global infrastructure and performance strategy for over 60 markets in FMCG sector. For one of the world’s largest food producers he built up an online family brand strategy and implemented it successfully. Currently Ulrich Kaleta is supporting known manufacturer brands, merchants and startups with his broad expertise in building up, roll out and establishing efficient e-commerce and marketing performance strategies.
